Metamorphosis Monday

You can see more Met Monday before and afters by visiting Susan's blog here

Hubby said the laundry room didn't look that bad and at first I didn't think so either...then I took a picture..typical builder wire shelving left everything open for viewing and I hated that..so a visit to Home Depot was in order.

Some paint, these cabinets, new lighting and a bit of work and voila! A completely new look! All for less than $300.00!!

The only thing that is new now, a new washer and dryer since mine went kaput a few months later! This is an easy do-it-yourself project that we managed over a weekend! Eventually we plan on actually expanding the size of the room to add cabinets and a counter for folding and extra baskets as well as a place for a larger pantry!
Hope you enjoy all the other Met Monday make-overs!!
Hugs French;)

French, my looks like yours use to.
I am going to do something like you did. At least make it so I'll want to do the wash.

Ooooo. I am impressed! I was awake last night planning our laundry re-do. I s'pose it would help to get through the HUGE pile of dirty clothes!

Oh it's wonderful! My husband wants those washer/dryer units so badly. I think he just like the new tech/gadgets ~ not the laundry end of it. =) Blessings... Polly

It looks terrific! I just wish I had a laundry room to makeover! We just have a stackable washer/dryer in a space only as big as the washer/dryer...stupid man builder!

Happy MM French, Your laundry room is gorgeous, I love the "laundry" picture above the cabinets. Love your new WM and TD. The first thing we bought when we came to the USA was the front loaders (top loaders are quite rare in England) :). another beautiful Metamorphosis. hugs, Kathy.

Looks great! We have shelves over our washer and dryer..and I am hoping to reuse our kitchen cabinet doors when we redo those...for our laundry area!

Love your washer and dryer...they are too large for our laundry "closet" (I measured and re-measured!)

Looks fabulous!! I know what you mean about thinking our space looks OK until you take a photo. Wowza, then you can see what it really looks like. The cabinets make the area look sooooo much better. Love the new washer & dryer too. I need to do this in my laundry room.

Lisa...you need to forget that nursing business and skeedaddle directly into home design!! You could probably go for "Design Star" tryouts if you wanted to...
remember, life is SHORT...do what makes you HAPPY...or in my case, eat dessert FIRST! Hugs, ♥ Bo

Maybe I'm weird, but I'm crazy about a good looking laundry area... and your's looks terrific! I mean - if you've got to spend time in this area several times a week, why not make the experience pleasant! You've done just that.

Ooh, I heart your laundry room! I don't think there would ever be a chance in hell that Jimmy would spend money on, and then work on the laundry room. Nope, wouldn't happen here!

Ok, I'm majorly jealous of your laundry room...I've had grand plans for mine for 6 1/2 years now and it's never gotten past painting.

How do you like the LG appliances? Any trouble? My top load washer sounds like a jet engine when it's spinning...I imagine it will be the next thing to break.
