Need prayers and an Extra Warm Welcome!!

First, please say your prayers as I spent the last almost 7 hours in the ER with a friend who has been admitted to the hospital. He is my best friend and I love him dearly. We have been the best of friends since 1996 when I first moved here to the states. He has since retired and has been in ill health the last few months. He is my friend, my confidant and the kindest most gentle soul I have ever had the privilege of knowing.

Second, I need prayers for my family...it's been a difficult few months for me back and forth to the doctors and just when my specialists appointments were finally scheduled my employer cancelled my health insurance and have basically fired me..Yeah I think I need a lawyer...and the money to get one...I can't even discuss the hell I am going through...enough about that...

I can't be all doom and gloom so finally some good news.....

Third, my dear friend from RMS, (kiakai or Kelly) who I regularly talk about has FINALLY after much persuasion started a blog. This lady has taught me so much over the last year since we met, we took Interior Design classes and have also worked on a few projects together. She is my rock when it comes to design. NOBODY can turn junk into beauty better than she can! She is an awesome seamstress as well. Please stop by her sun room which she has done with a budget of $215.00!!! It will take your breath away. Have any questions about re-upholstering, sewing, staining, building, molding etc....... she knows it all and all the tricks of the trade!!! You can find her here at: please give her a warm welcome;)

Much love French;)

I believe that under COBRA, a government law, you are allowed to pay your own premiums for the insurance you just lost. Please go and read about your rights. I am sorry and will keep you in prayer. I will check out your friend. I would love to know what RMS is as I have seen many bloggers use the initials. Also praying for your friend. Wow you have really been dumped on. I am so sorry.

I have a list of folks I know...
all written in a book,
And every now and then...
I go and take a look.
That is when I realize
these names...they are a part,
not of the book they're written in...
but taken from the heart.
For each Name stands for someone...
who has crossed my path sometime,
and in that meeting they have become...
the reason and the rhyme
Although it sounds fantastic...
for me to make this claim,
I really am composed...
of each remembered name.
Although you're not aware...
of any special link,
just knowing you, has shaped my life...
more than you could think.
So please don't think my greeting...
as just a mere routine,
your name was not...
forgotten in between.
For when I send a greeting...
that is addressed to you,
it is because you're on the list...
of folks I'm indebted to.
So whether I have known you...
for many days or few,
in some ways you have a part...
in shaping things I do.
I am but a total...
of many folks I've met,
you are a friend I would prefer...
never to forget.
Thank you for being my friend!

{{{{{{{{{{{{Frenchie}}}}}}}}}}}}} You've had more than anyone should have to shoulder lately.
I'll pray for your friend and for your family!
Is your hubby a US citizen? If so, you'd certainly be eligible for some medical assistance. The suggestion for Cobra sounds like a good one considering everything you are going through too. Those bastards to do this to you. It is just shocking how much heartless treatment we are seeing these days.
I love you girl and I have faith that something good is going to come your way!
p.s. I remember kaikai from RMS, she does amazing things.

Oh sweatheart I hurt for you. You and your friend will be in my prayers. Company loyalty is non existent in todays time. I'm so happy I don't have to face that anymore. I believe COBRA goes for 2years, but I'm not sure about that so look it up.Take care of yourself and try not to stress out.

Love Ya,
Chris

PS I'm going to check out your friend too, sounds like my kind of person.

Monica you made me cry!!
Thank you all so much! I wish Cobra were an option but with a hefty price tag of $1300.00 a month it's out of the question....looking at other options,,,Hugs French xoxo

You'll have to tell me more about your friend. And last night at my neighborhood bible study, I said a big prayer for you and your family. So I'm one step ahead of you there. :) And last, I'm totally blown away by the kindness on my new blog. You are absolutly too sweet. And so is the blog community. I think I'm really going to enjoy this.
Love you much, xoxoxo Kelly

French... I am so sorry that things are going so rough! I can only hope that things will get better! I hope that the specialist find out what is going on with you. I know how it is because as you know my youngest as CDLS syndrome but she has had an ongoing fever for over two months that comes and goes and we have been to numerous doctors and had over 40 blood tests done and we still have no answers.
As for your friend I will pray for him!
As for you we are all here for you to lean on and I know I won't turn my back on you when you need the all of us the most. You are surrounded by a bunch of great woman! We'll help get you through this!

Lisa, I am so sorry that you are going through so much. You & your family are in my prayers. I am still having a lot of trouble with my shoulder and neck. I hope you are feeling better. I don't see how they can fire you when you have been going through so much medically. I think you should be getting workman's comp. Well, I should be too. But, that's another suckie story.

I will also pray for your friend. Friends like that are hard to come by.

I am so excited that Kelly is in blogland. I'm going to run over and say, "Hi".
Luv Ya!! Terrie

Well, I'm sorry to hear you're having such a hard time -especially with health insurance. I had a friend pretty much fired for missing work due to having a brain tumor. The she took her 401-k, paid down her medical bills & they wouldn't give her Medicaid (or care) b/c she didn't owe enough. I so hope things will go better for you and your friend. I'm not sure where you are in SC, or if I've told you (thus the Dory Award I so deserve), but I lived in Irmo for 1 year. I'm your same age too. Thought that was ironic. I hope you will have a better week!

Dear Lisa...I tried & tried to get on your blog last night & I could only read the first 2 paragraphs & it would freeze up...so I went to bed with your sweet name in my heart & prayers. I pray that something better will come of this for you...most attorneys work on a contingency basis in matters like this I think...please call around...
And I also am praying for your friend in his hour of need...
OK, an endorsement of Kelly from you is good enough for me, so I'm on my way over there.
Please know you are loved & cared about, ♥ Bo

So sorry to hear of your friend. I will be praying for him. I know first hand what you are going thru and thank you for praying for our friend Linda. She has a long way to go but atleast she is home.

I will also pray for you and your family. You are in a very tough spot. It's also has to be so hurtful after years of dedication to be treated that way by your employer. You deserve better than that.

So glad Kelly is doing a blog. The two of you did such an awesome job on your friends house:0)

French, Let's pray! Lord, we don't always understand life, and why things happen the way they do. Please be with French's friend...touch his body and heal him, please! And, about her job and her insurance...please help to provide the provisions she so desparately needs! You always have a reason for allowing certain things to happen in our lives...at the times it's not always easy to understand it. Please give French the strength she needs to deal with both of these situations and may she ever feel closer to your heart...like a magnet! Amen! ~CC Catherine (Please stay in touch, I'll be praying for you!)

Cobra insurance, while, luckily, is available, it is also expensive. Most attorneys offer a free consultation, also, if it is a wrongful termination suit, they should take the case at no cost to you until the case settles and their fee, a percentage, comes out of those proceeds.
Don't delay! I will be praying for all of you!

Lisa, I am so terribly sorry to hear about your dear friend's illness and that another of life's curves has been thrown your way. Please keep the faith, as things will surely get better and remember you have plenty of supportive friends here who all sincerely care about you. (Monica's poem says it all.)

Sending many hugs and prayers your way.....-Brenda-

P.S:
(Up in Canada (in our Province) we are allowed one free consultation with a Lawyer of your choice. Does your State offer the same? It may be worth your while to look into it. (Most people aren't even aware of it here.) Also, we do have a Government system that you can file a complaint against an Employer. Again, which is free of charge.)
