Mini Met Monday

Go see other great Makeover's here at Susan's;)

Two years ago we added this addition to our very small back porch

You can sort of see where the original porch ended, my hubby had covered the porch with this canopy shortly after we first moved in...the canopy didn't last long and the color just wasn't working for me..the table and chairs were my original kitchen set and can hardly be seen here... but now..

This is what it looks like this year...we hd the canopy re-covered in a red fabric and the chairs were also covered in the same red to match..this is the view at night

Now we even have lights for the evening...music and even a fan up in the right hand corner to help not only with the heat but the bugs...;)

It is still a major work in progress but so much nicer to look at now

Hope you enjoy all the other Met Monday posts!!

Hugs French;) xoxoxo

What a super deck. I love it. It is so pretty with all the lights. Having the fan is such a bonus too. It seems if the air is circulating the heat doesn't seem so unbearable. I'm sure you enjoy it very much. Hugs, Marty

French Fry!!! When I opened my email this morning I fell over laughing from the email you sent me! (LOL) True Blood is action packed with all of the bad/good stuff! If you have Comcast you should have On Demand. You should be able to catch it on there.... In order to be caught up to speed... I strongly recommend watching season 1 first.

That's a beautiful deck and I love the addition of the canopy with lights. I don't go out on my deck too often because it doesn't have any shade from the sun and it can get really hot here in South Texas. I'm going to have to shop around and find myself a cover so I can enjoy MY deck!

why do they always make the back living areas so small? Stupid builders. I would have never tried to have the canopy reworked. You so smart! The lights add such ambiance. Those flowers too. Good times! Love your music selection. I've seen Steve Miller last two summers. Everyone lights up when he plays Midnight Toker.
As you've noticed, I'm not around blog land that much anymore. Every time I come I stop by your place whether I leave a comment or not though. Hope you are feeling great!
Hugs, Penny

Soooooooo romantic and.....inspiring! Would just love to have a canopy like this, but in our climate storage for the winter months is a necessity and a big problem.

Beautiful Lisa!!!!!!!
