Proud Mama

Yesterday afternoon my son had his first mini-concert. This is his first year playing an instrument and the violin no less!! I was truly amazed at how good they were! I totally expected to hear somebody completely out of tune but they weren't!!!! They were soooo good! He was all dressed up in his black suit and white shirt.... There you see the total concentration on his face when he played....he loved it! He said it made him realize how people felt performing on stage as musicians. He wants a guitar for Christmas and I think Santa is bringing him one(winks;)! He is too darned pretty to be a boy, but hey I am totally biased!!! Below is the first video I have uploaded here to blogger I hope it works! My video taking needs practice;) Hugs French;) xoxo

Lisa, oh how entertaining and it is about the look of concentration!
Love the violin but glad to hear Santa is also bringing him a guitar. As it is all strings, I suspect it is private lessons that he takes? (My kids were lucky as the school they went to in grades seven and eight, it was mandatory for them to learn at least one instrument. They loved it but sadly never continued with it in High School.)
Please tell him I enjoyed his concert immensely. Also, in case I am not online again before Christmas I just want to wish YOU and all those who are close to your heart A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A JOYOUS SEASON. Hope Santa is good to ya-all. Many hugs -Brenda-

What a handsome young man. I'm glad the concert went well. It's important for kids to have a "thing" to interest them before they get too old and just want to sit around playing video games. My nephews don't like team sports, but they are into music and being on the tech crew for plays.

My son plays the guitar. He and a friend are in the basement as we speak playing. I think they want to form a band!!

He could play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star after his first lesson. So with your sons musical background I'm sure he will pick it up really fast.

He is quite a handsome fellow!!

I understand how you feel! My youngest son plays violin and yesterday he played for and audience of one. There's a photo on my blog. The music from the violin really touches my heart!
Merry Christmas!

Does that video ever bring back MEMORIES! I have 5 kids and 4 of them went through the Suzuki Violin program. My youngest does the cello. I promise you that all the hard work and running around is worth it!!! Check out a video of my kids playing together now that my oldest is 20 (he started at 7 years old) and my youngest is 14. Scroll to the bottom of the post for a short video of Vivaldi.

Lisa, he is so handsome! And I love the fact that he was all dressed up but didn't look dorky at all. You dressed him so that he looked hip and chic!

They really did do well, and you're not too shabby with the video camera!
