Thursday Thirteen Random Rants.....

1. I realize how much a little time and faith can heal...my daughter and I went to register her at school yesterday she had finally made a decision to go to college and she is interested in becoming a pharmacist no less....who knows where she will end up but I am so proud that she finally took the first step in the RIGHT direction.
2. I had no idea I would enjoy the table scape Tuesday so much big thanks to Susan for the introduction!
3. I survived the MRI unscathed...results negative for TOS but still continuing more testing...the vascular surgeon thinks it might be RSD Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (ugh)
4. Medical bills suck!
5. What ever happened to Mr. Bill anyway? (lol)
6. I think I need a vacation away from MYSELF! ( Is that possible?)
7. Life would be so much easier if we all had Oprah's money (or would it?)!
8. Note to self..... never go get a $40 dollar haircut when your in a pissy, ( I need a change!) mood they will always screw it up and cut it WAY too short ( evidence below)!
9. Menopause sucks! Who invented wrinkles? I hate them!
10. My short term memory is getting terrible WHY???( never mind I can't remember)
11. I need to learn how to use power tools!
12. I realized I now have a new addiction (table scapes and bling hello Lynne??) (lol)
13. You will all think I am crazy after this post ( then again maybe you already knew I was and it's just a new discovery for me, or maybe I knew...... and forgot?)

Hugs and please no laughing at the new haircut (it will grow back and not look chopped up....yes or no?)
Seriously it's a bad haircut but I do the best I can with it until it can be fixed!

Hugs and much Love from the Scrooge ( BAH HUMBUG!)

French it doesn't look bad? Where, is it because it was longer?
I too just went thru this last year my hair was shorter than this and it grew to my bra strap. I just went two days ago and she cut 3 inches off; I told her trim? But maybe she thought I was too old to wear my hair long? Well, lesson learned, I was going from dark to back light blonde and that didn't go so well either. But I will get there and then I'll decide that its time for another change. However I got the scolding from my daughters that said, " mom never, ever get your hair done when a holiday, party or wedding is comming up. Well I didn't listen and now I'm as unhappy as you are . It will grow back. Have a great day.

Lisa, I hear you. I think pain makes us into a scrooge. I understand medical bills. I am at $4200.00. And that's what my deductible is. I haven't been able to spend any money on myself this year. It sucks because I'd love to buy a few little things for a tablescape or a little something extra to decorate for Christmas. I had to just use what I had on hand. I want to take a winter vacation. I'm having a hard time talking my dh into that one with the economy. I still have pain in my shoulder, arm and neck. So, I understand scrooge!!! I hope we... feel better soon.
Hugs, Terrie

I am proud of you and your daughter. I am so happy that you enjoyed tablescapes, it means we will get to see more of your many talents. I am happy your neg for TOS I am not sure what RSD is exactly but as you said ugh then I hope it is not that either. Medical bill do suck BIG time!. Who's Mr Bill??. Can I come on that vacation heehee. I don't think Oprah's money is making her happy!, better to have an adorable Scottish hubby :). Your haircut looks perfect to me, I think you look amazing, I wish I looked half as good :). Menopause sucks!, BIG time and wrinkles!. Haha some times short term memory loss is handy. I think anything you try you will master quickly (YIKES) hubby hides all the power tools from me!. Lisa I can imagine the weihgt off your shoulders knowing your daughter is making good choices again, I so hope in the new year your health is perfect!

I want to get into power tools too! I used a staple gun and I'm hooked I want MORE power!!

Love your new do, red is your color!

Your hair is cute. I wonder what it would look like if you did a more side part. I would go right back to the shop that cut it and tell them you don't like it. They should fix it for you for free. I think that if they blend some layers you will like it better.

Sometimes when life gets us down a bad hair cut is just the icing on the cake!! I've had a few myself.

Don't get me started on the wrinkles. I'm giving them a good fight but think I'm losing the battle! I always say with each new wrinkle comes a little more wisdom. I didn't have any when I was young and dumb! LOL

Glad to hear your daughter is headed in the right direction. My daughters friend is a pharmacist and it may take a lot of years of schooling but the $$ after is worth it. I wish her the best.

Hi ya Frenchie!
I'm so happy to hear that Sam is starting school. Sometimes our little lambs do find their way back. I'm glad it didn't take her too long.
Tablescaping... I'm steering clear of that one, afraid I'll want to buy too many dishes I don't need, would rather blow more money on shoes (lol) but I'm glad you are having fun with it and I do love seeing what everyone else comes up with!
MRIs? ugh, I hope there aren't anymore of those in either of our futures.
Biils suck, enough said on that topic!
I hope Mr. Bill has found happiness on a tropical island somewhere, he deserves it and so do we. hehe Maybe we can all join Mr. Bill on that island for the vacation from ourselves...I could REALLY use that one too!
Oprah, schmopra! I don't think I'd want to be in her shoes (even though they are usually a pair of Christian Louboutins.)
Ah the haircut, we have all been there but you are so much better off than I was last year at this time when this diva asshole in SF scalped me...what a nightmare! At least you have a full head of hair still. You just need to find your groove with the new cut. What about parting it a little more to the side and doing a sideswept bang? Look to Celine for advice. lol
I am just having so much fun with menopause, the night sweats, mood swings, memory loss, lets see, I can't remember the other symptoms!
I hope that my hubby has the woodworking shop he has always dreamed about someday so that I can play with his tools (that sounds dirty. LOL)
Bling? Anything pink, shiny or glittery is a good thing!
I've always known you were crazy and I wouldn't have you any other way!
Love, Bridget

Doesnt it just always go like that...feeling a little down.."hey maybe I will get a new haircut!"..Then its not what you expected or wanted...crap! You could shave your head and put a chicken on top of it and I would still think you were adorable..(maybe a little wacky though). I loved what Mama/Kathy said about short term memory coming in handy...so true!!! Glad to hear that your daughter has signed up for school..good for her! I too would like to take a little vacation from myself sometimes...nice to know I am not the only one who feels that way! ~Cindy~

Hey ya cutie, I'm so glad you came by to meet our Murphy dog. He is just the best thing. He showed up in March and stayed. He joins Miss Scooter the cocker spaniel.. I hope you're having a good day..

I'm Scrooge right along with you!

I worked as a pharmacy tech all throughout college...if I could do it over, I'd go to pharmacy school. It's one of the best professions...especially for women because you can work part-time and still be a mom, but still make great money.

Good luck to your daughter!

Rue said...

I know that mood. When I was pregnant with Alex I needed a change and my mom talked me into th "ghost" haircut. Let me tell you it was NOT pretty, but honey, YOU could shave your head and look beautiful and you do, so stop frettin' ;)

Love,
rue

I loved this post. I´m a little late reading it. Really busy!
I can soooo feel almost all of your 13. Except you have a great hair cut!
I´m so happy for you that your daughter decided what she wants to study. That makes a mama so proud!
Have a great weekend!

I think your new haircut is very sophisticated and chic looking. I love it!
Medical problems are ALWAYS the pits no matter what the problem is. Sometimes the bills from the medical problems are worse. I do pray you will be relieved of them very soon.
Congrats on your daughter in deciding to go to school.
Mr. Bill is alive and well in TV commericials....oh nooooooo!
I'm deathly afraid of power tools. Ok, so I'm a coward.
Menapause does suck, but the good part is we forget what we went thru afterwards.
