Playing with Decor and Pictures

Yummy decor!

There is no denying where my taste is in decorating , and thanks to Gollum I have been playing with pictures to see if I could actually do it and woohoo~~~I did it! Now if you look at the first row second picture that is a great example of how Kelly and I decorate together..it's an incredible mixture of the British Colonial style with some hints of traditional, casual chic and a little of everything really! Maybe one day we will actually get the opportunity to do this in someone else's home! What about the beams in the one picture wouldn't that look cool in my bedroom! Oh this is fun, at least it get's the imagination running!

Poll results said the majority wanted some decor advice so I will try to do that but of course also honor the wishes of those who requested the other items listed!

I love the child's room with green and black and considering doing that in my son's room, with the exception of the black furniture I will use his current dark brown furniture..what do you think?

This is a current picture of his room, sort of....there are a few changes since this, but you get the idea...

We even have some key black and white elements already, and other than paint, bedding, and curtains which I could make, it would be quite easy~~~oh yeah except for the time involved!

Hugs and love French;)
PS
I have been re-decorating my blog after all it's much cheaper then decorating myhome! I lost my blog roll and tried to remember everyone! If you are NOT on my list, then I had a blonde moment, forgive me and kindly remind my dumb-ass!

I love your new blog decor and your collage. I'm bummed that I can not see all of your celebrity look alikes though. I do see that you have been matched with SJP...not bad! You have quite a collection of lovely ladies you look like!

This is looking much better girl, but I would expand the main wrapper a bit (or is it the inner wrapper? Dang)
What does your SON think of having his room done in green? That's the big question! I think he's definitely outgrown the theme going on in there now, no?

Please do add me to your blogroll and I will be doing the same! Hope you fare well during Hanna! ~Rhonda

Love the inspiration photo for your son's room, very graphic with the dark furniture and the blue and green map. Sally

Twin is gone for the weekend and I am so dumb when it comes to this blogging thing so I haven't posted the Pay it forward yet. She works in an office and knows how to cut and paste (I'm embarrassed to admit I don't)and do so much more than me.

I'm also thinking about using black and green in my sons room. I think I'll do soft grey walls as I think green might be too feminine.

I'm anxious to see yours now that you have completed your decorating class!!

Have a happy weekend.

French fry!!!! Way to go, my dear!!! This is absolutely beautiful, French! The blog background is elegant--and those buttons on the side resemble beads from an onyx necklace. LOVE IT ALL! Not to mention the mosaic you put together.

Looking gooooood! Love the new format. Missed your celeb 'look-like-alike' meter; but feel in the picture on your Header you resemble Celine Dionne.
I agree that the ceiling beams would look great in your bedroom and add a lot of architectural interest. Regarding you sons room; as Justine questioned; what does you son think? Kids can be picky...smiles. HAVE A BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND FRENCH. Hugs

I remember your spa blue master bed from RMS...it was one of my inspirations...I'm floored you changed it, but the new British Colonial is absolutely stunning!

Great blog...this is the first time I've stopped by!

The inspiration pic for your son's room is great...he's a lucky guy.

Girlfriend, You know I have always loved your style. I love Kelly's, too!! She a girl after my own heart. She can take a old abandoned item and redesign it into something so awesome. I'm just jealous I can play with you girls. I'd love to see some of your decorating tricks in person. Your blog looks so.. awesome!!
Hugs, Terrie

I just pinpointed my decor style to be British Colonial as well. I thought it was an Old World style but think it is more BC. I have put your blog on my favorite list. Please stop by my blog sometime soon and say "hi"
