Look at the architecture of the hotel itself, view from our room out to the mountains!
The front of the restaurants with all the wood, do you see the greek influence in the molding inside?
The lanterns, the fans, the railing oh such good eye candy!
The lobby, the wrought iron chandeliers, the molding, the woodwork amazing!
An Italian restaurant with faux sky and clouds painted, the iron railing, can you believe this is in the Caribbean?
The stone railing looks so European!
My guess is that because Jamaica is visited by so many European people they have tried to use so many of the influences in the decor at this hotel. Everywhere I looked I could see so many influences, English, French, Greek, Italian etc... Can you believe so many styles in one place? Can you believe that the main color scheme of the outside of this hotel is lilac? The inner parts were mainly peach and sea blue? Who would have thought this combination could work so well....so the journey begins~~~ Hope you all enjoy the trip!!! Tomorrow flowers and gardens of the tropics!
French;)

Hi French!
I'm so glad you stopped by my blog to say hello!
I have never been to Jamaica, but this area looks so beautiful! I love the tropical feel and music on your blog ---I feel like I was on vacation while I was reading it!
Congrats to your daughter on her graduation!
Hugs, Pat
what beauty! thanks for the tour!
I didn't know you had a blog! now you are on my list of stops
Hey there@
Thanks for the visit, I always wanted to visit Jamaica! Actually Jamaica is furthest away from Trinidad so it's kind of expensive to get there, and then you think for a little more, why not just go to Miami! lol, anyway you have trini neighbors! interesting! you really should visit, particularly for carnival, it's a blast!
The hotel looks lovely, I could tell why youre hooked!
Oh Frenchfry, I love that architecture. I want to be you! The boys and I go to Watercolor, FL in a couple of weeks. I'll have to WOW you with the white sand and "striped water". Been working on a house down there and it's time to do the final installation of "stuff". It's a working vacation, but still a vacation. The boys are excited because they can go fishing literally out the back door of the home! Can't wait to see your flower pics! Carol
Hi French, Your photo's are beautiful and the architecture sure is very European looking but still has that breezy, bright, casualness of Jamaica, I must say your posts are really giving me itchy feet to go see for myself, unfortunately I have to recover from this last lot of jet-lag, one good thing about it is that I can sit here happily in the middle of the night catching up and reading as many blogs as I want to. Thanks for the good wishes re my safe return, but you are right it is very hard to get back to normality, oh the washing machine just called, oh dear such is life. keep the photo's coming. lol, Kathy. ps a package was waiting for me when I returned, it was my interior design course work, wish me luck yikes!!.
Hi Lisa, lovely pictures. I love the new photo that you've posted. I love the crinkles in your hair, it really becomes you. Deb

Hey girlie! The hotel looks spectacular, and I could just picture you, sitting at your computer making vaca reservations, looking through pics of hotels and saying, "No, that one just won't do. Not enough architectural detail!" LOL! I can't wait to hear more about your trip. Hurry up! Hurry up!!!!!!!!! I'm a very detail oriented person (can you tell from my bloggy?) and thrive on the nooks and crannies!
