Fresh flowers on the table in the lobby can anyone tell me what these flowers are?
Did you know that Coconuts turn this yellow color before they become ripe?
Garden Art created by locals all carved by hand with one single piece of wood for each sculpture!
A view of the gardens and the pond which is set in the middle of the resort!

Bird of Paradise the most beautiful flower I have ever seen! It looks like a bird doesn't it!
Just some foliage I thought was beautiful!
I love these palms! Wish I could grow them here!
Can anyone tell me what type of bush this is!
This as the locals called it is " Sleeping princess" when you touch it , it folds onto itself like a Venus flytrap as a protective mechanism it was amazing to see it happen!

There is so much lush greenery all around the resort! Every day they were working on it and because of the size of the resort I was amazed at how impeccable the grounds were! If I could actually do gardening and could have the greenery seen here I might actually want to get into gardening! Thanks to Terrie, Tootsie, Deb and all the ladies which have actually made me become interested in gardening, well at least I appreciate looking at it! Tomorrow it's all about the views and the water!

Oh, I would love that fern-looking plant in my yard! I'll keep checking to see if anyone knows a name for it! Cindy
I can see why you love it there so much. It is amazingly beautiful. You wouldn't have to plan to do much- just sit back and gaze at all that beauty. Twin
Love your photos of Jamaica, really lovely! The coconuts however come in two colors green and yellow, the green remains green and the yellow remains yellow!
As for the bush we call it 'ti-marie' they grow wild and they are very fascinating, as a child I would play with them for hours.
Everyone says that gardening is easiest in the caribbean, but it is still a lot of work and you can still make mistakes, I just started gardening mostly container for flowers and in-ground for veggies.
bye for now
Raquel
I love garden tours! thansk girl!
Hey French! That there isn't a bush, it's a tree. Looks like a Pygmy Date Palm. Usually they're not left to grow so busy and wild though! Beautiful! Loved all the pics today. What's the next installment?
Justine :o )
Hi French, I love the music, my feet are a tapping, The photo are great, all the plants are so green and vibrant, the red plant is beautiful, look forward to tomorrow's tour. Come and take part in my socks and sandals poll if you have time. Kathy.
Hey French. My name is Penny aka InteriorPassion on RMS. I've left you comments on your pics because I love your style and your home is awesome. I also think you should take up photography and suggested that in your bedroom spaces. I've never posted any of my spaces on RMS. I seem to be better at posting on blogland, although it's very new to me.
Okay, I'm so jealous that you went on a vacation to Jamaica. Thanks for sharing all of the eye candy pictures on your blog! Every single picture was beautiful. I've only been to Jamacia one time and we stayed at a Sandals Resort. The best photo I have of husband and self is us on Dunn's River Falls. I know you've been there too. :-)
Welcome home and back to blogland. I'd love it if you came to visit me sometime.
Take care,
Penny
Thanks for stopping by. What a lucky girl to have the Scottish heritage you married into! I think it's great that your husband wore a kilt on his wedding day too. My husband worked with a man named Garreth who was married in his kilt too and it was quite an experience, absolutely lovely and steeped in tradition. That was when I found out that each family has it's own plaid pattern (tartan?). Thanks for your kind words I was a bit nervous to list this about a movie star as most people write about things and decorating but I wanted to be creative with it. It's not like I'm obsessed or anything, I just admire the man's talent! Cindy
P.S. The name onlymehere comes from the fact the kids are growing up, husband goes to bed between 5:00 and 6:00 at night and it is usually only me here!
Did you climb the waterfall at Ocho Rios?
Wow!! The plants are so beautiful. I really want to vacation in Jamacia now. I mean...right now!!
Thanks for sharing!!
Hugs, Terrie
