Don't it make my brown eyes blue?....true story!

When I was just a little girl I remember thinking I hated my dark brown eyes...my mother had beautiful hazel eyes and my step-father had sea blue eyes...and here I was left with the "shit" brown ones...my parents use to tease me about my eyes being so dark, they said that they looked "dirty"...well needless to say I was about 6 or 7 years old and well bored! So I went out to the backyard trying to figure out how I was going to change my eye color and ah ha I figured it out...I snuck upstairs got the bar of soap and a washcloth...I figured if I washed them real hard with the soap and water it would change the color! So there I was with a bar of Ivory in one hand, washcloth and the hose in the other and I scrubbed...and scrubbed and scrubbed..to my dismay nothing happened but I knew my eyes hurt like hell! So about an hour later I sat outside crying my mother could hear me.....as I turned around I remember the look of terror on her face! OMG what happened... I cried and cried and said " I dunno mommy but it hurts real bad" She wooshed me off to the doctor's! The doctor couldn't figure out what it was and said it must have been some type of allergy...not only were my eyes beat red but my whole face was swollen too! I knew better of course but wouldn't tell her or him that! I was too embarassed and figured I would get in trouble for it! The stupid things kids do right! So beware what you say because sometimes us kids take things literally! Buffie this one's for you;)

Oh that last picture took me by surprise! It actually made me hurt!! My husband has the biggest dark brown eyes and I love them so much. In fact, before we had kids I just assumed they'd all have these nice big brown eyes. Surprise....both of my sons have hazel eyes and my oldest daughter has beautiful blue eyes. We laugh and tell our youngest Kaje' that it took four tries to get a brown eyed beauty!! She has her dad's big beautiful eyes! Did you ever tell your mom the truth?! Just curious.

Aw Lisa, that is one of the most pitiful things I've ever heard. You poor little baby! And look at how gorgeous you turned out!
Now I know you're shy about your pretty tattoo, but please, just have a pic taken of it and send it to me personally. You don't have to blog everything the way I do! You know that for me nothing is sacred! I told Jill I would NOT blog her boobs. Stupid her to believe me! Bwa ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Justine :o )

Oh you poor thing. I had a similar problem with the "be careful what you tell your kids" issue. I bogged on it a while ago. I used to get told a big wind was going to come up and sweep me away because I was so skinny. I was always frightened of the wind.
Next time try blue contacts! : )

I wish your young self could have seen your adult self. You would've never done that.
