I Hate Hurricane Season!

I have, as everyone else is I am sure, been bombarded with the fact that Gustav is quickly growing strength and turning into another Katrina! August 29th of 2005 Katrina devastated so many lives and homes...I cried so many times watching the footage...we had even offered our home for a family to live that needed it! Now I watch as Gustav approaches with such a rage and gaining strength! I can only hope that this time the residents any where near this massive hurricane have been smart enough to flee! My heart goes out to all the families that have had to endure this yet again....I can only hope that this time at least it will not turn out to be the fiasco it was back in 2005! We have friends in the area one of which I know has had to leave their home and I pray for their safety! Let us all pray and hope this doesn't turn into yet another American tragedy! This hurricane has already done so much damage and taken lives, my only hope is with the power of prayer perhaps we can help somehow, someone, just a little.....

Hugs and love~~Lisa xoxox

Lisa, This was so sweet and heartfelt. I'm so thanksful that THIS time people seem to be listening to the warnings and taking heed. I feel that right now prayer is all we can do. And that's HUGE! Have a blessed Sunday my Friend! love ya~ Carol

Lisa I watched at Gustav hit your beloved Jamaica, thank God the damage there was bad but not catastrophic, I just want to echo your sentiments. And hope and pray that there is not another disaster.

Raquel

ps
I love that you offered your home to the Katrina victims.

Once again you remind me of how fortunate I am to live where I live. I don't have to worry about hurricanes, tornadoes, etc., but I will keep these people in my prayers. Thanks for reminding us today. Sometimes you see it on the news but it just doesn't hit that personal level until someone who's been there tells you about it. Thanks again French.

Here's to hoping Gustav dies a quick and horrible early death. I can't imagine the heart ache of having to leave a home you've finally gotten back in order from the last tragedy. Have a great weekend everyone!

I am scared to death for those in that storm. My friend and yours TWIZZIS is one of those that need our prayers right now. She has been evacuated. I used to pray for all...but knowing and caring for someone in it steps it up to a whole new level....

I'm praying for those in Gustav's path as well. It is horrible to think of the possibility of another disaster the magnitude of katrina. I have so many friends in different parts of the south that these darned hurricanes are tormenting this year.

There truly is power in prayer. It is so compassionate of you to remind us of those whose safety is at risk.
Also, I've really enjoyed my visit.

Hi, I know this hurricane season is just awful. It's happening just a short distance from us and we're so thankful I believe we're going to be okay. It's very nice of you to send love.

Now, am I missing something? Did you have another Bathroom Diva pix to show me? Sometimes you have to paint me a picture!!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

I've been worried about friends and family on the Gulf coast. Thanks for this timely post. As to the mosaic, just create a free account at Flickr.com, upload photos, and then go to www.bighugelabs.com. Select the mosaic (I made a movie poster for Mister). Follow the instructions to link to your Flickr account, and select your photos. It takes a while to upload, but it's a lot of free fun.
